I would absolutely recommend staying here. The owners are extremely nice and the breakfast they made was amazing. We stayed in suite 5 and definitely stay there again. Good size room and comfortable king sized bed.
My fiancee and I had an awesome experience at Shady Oaks. The owners were incredibly nice to us. We arrived in the middle of a huge thunderstorm. They gave us towels to dry off with, and offered to put our clothes in the dryer. They suggested a couple local restaurants within a couple miles for dinner, and some other local points of interest. The breakfast they made was awesome, and the building itself was really cool; a great value for what we paid. I was able to make the reservations online the night before we stayed there, which was super convenient. We stayed in Room #4.
Excellent B&B! Extremely friendly owners that gave us great suggestions on things to do in the area and restaurants to try. The breakfast in the morning was great! Much more than your typical eggs and sausage breakfast. Our room was nice and had some unique character features. I would definitely recommend staying at Shady Oaks if you're in the Lake Zurich area. Overall experience was top notch!
